About
Reload Right

Reload Right is an Adelaide-based educator for the shooting community.

We run live trainings and online workshops for both newcomers and experienced shooters who want to learn how to reload their fired cases safely and improve their performance. In these trainings, we focus particularly on bottleneck cartridges.

Why we exist

Both sports shooting and hunting are demanding and competitive activities which require great accuracy and high compliance.

But there are few opportunities for shooters to obtain precise and unbiased information on how to improve their game.

At Reload Right we aim to change that by making the latest techniques and best practices for reloading more widely available.

Meet your trainer

The trainings are run by Mark Tyler, a highly experienced shooter and former executive officer of the SA Rifle Association.

Mark is driven by a desire to share his vast knowledge and help build a more skilled and professional shooting community.

About Mark

Growing up on a farm in South Australia’s Riverland region, Mark Tyler has been shooting since he was eight years old. What started out as hunting rabbits to sell to the local butchers for some spare cash turned into a lifelong fascination with shooting as a sport. From smallbore rifle and pistol to long-range rifle shooting, Mark loves the technical aspect of handling different firearms and the constant challenge to achieve small groups.

As with any other sport, Mark had to devote a lot of energy and focus (and money!) to become one of the best in his field. He has been in several state teams and eventually became executive officer of the SA Rifle Association in 2018.

It was there that he really started noticing the need to increase professionalism and standards in the wider shooting community. Many members were self-taught and had been reloading for years based on unreliable information from YouTube videos or outdated books, leading to questionable results. So when Mark decided to run a training night to give something back to the community and the sport he loves so much, it was a raving success.

Mark has been refining his courses and workshops ever since to find a better process for working up accurate loads within safe boundaries. In other words, a process to “Reload Right.”
